CHALLENGE
GCH group was shutting down its Giant branded stores in the country. The challenge was to navigate through the multiple store closures while maintaining positive brand reputation with minimal media engagement.
APPROACH
Over a six-month period, we covered multiple stakeholder engagements and planned stages of communications execution. We created an action plan for the Ministry of Domestic Trade in relation to the closures, holding statements for internal and external audiences including media. We also did stringent media monitoring, issues management along with guidance on response times and content across the organization.
RESULTS TO DATE
All this resulted in a positive outcome with minimal media coverage on the closures.
